Football In Pune

Pune is one of the few cities in India which can boast of having its teams participate in the two top leagues of the country - FC Pune City (ISL) and DSK Shivajians (I-League).

Right from its inception in 1972, the Pune District Football Association has worked diligently to promote, develop and popularize the game of football in Pune. It is PDFA's mission to ensure that teams get to play in professionally run competitions and players get an opportunity to showcase their talent and play for top leagues. PDFA has a membership of close to 100 clubs which play under 4 divisions and is now focussing on starting a youth league to be able to identify talent early.
